About Informatics Phd in University of Sussex

Areas of study
As a research student, you're associated with one or more research groups in the Department of Informatics:
- Data Science
- Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems (EASy)
- Foundations of Software Systems
- Creative Technology.
We welcome research proposals in all of the areas our faculty specialise in. Our interdisciplinary research involves key roles in the Centre for Computation Neuroscience and Robotics (CCNR), the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science and the Sussex Humanities Lab.
Academic qualification equivalents
- Bachelors degree with an overall mark of at least 54-69% depending on your university.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS : 6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component
- TOEFL : 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
- PTE : 62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills.
